manipulated by algorithms

 This came through one of my inboxes today: I couldn't help but think of people being manipulated and duped by algorithms and of a little game from the 90s that me and my friends used to try to break and confuse. Having pushed the boundaries and finding the parameters of the cage so to speak, it was easy to stump. Modern LLMs may be more challenging, but I feel similarly about them.

transient and fleeting

Transient and fleeting, mono no aware (物の哀れ, もののあはれ) a subject that I have been dancing around and attempting to elaborate and pinpoint for some time now.  It began with a daily haiku reflection practice that I slowed down to a halt. I guess you could say this reading and concept stopped the continued reflections.
