manipulated by algorithms

 This came through one of my inboxes today:


I couldn't help but think of people being manipulated and duped by algorithms and of a little game from the 90s that me and my friends used to try to break and confuse. Having pushed the boundaries and finding the parameters of the cage so to speak, it was easy to stump. Modern LLMs may be more challenging, but I feel similarly about them.

flattening the curve

20200315 to 20220115 is 671 days or 95 weeks and 6 days , one day shy of 96 weeks. This is the duration I have been social distancing in the interest of flattening the curve and helping to shield those in my life and larger community from a novel virus likely to cause complications and hospitalization and possibly death. Utilizing control measures such as social distancing, self-isolation, wearing masks, avoiding crowds and possibly exposed or infected people (indoors and outdoors), washing hands when possibly exposed, limited travel, remote working, and the like. I maintain these practices and watch as restrictions relax and tighten back up as we grow impatient and open too early or fail to take the needed measures to the extent and duration that is called for in this situation.  I've seen many strange things during this time. because I want to backdate it

A friend posted this on facebook today, "His reckless rhetoric will cause a massacre. Ok? You know it too. I'm marking it down today because I want to backdate it. Saturday, June twentieth, 2020. It is coming. And it is coming soon." I also think that they will let the pandemic worsen and let the US society collapse. I am marking it here as well for backdating. 06/20/2020, Spring Equinox.
